Carpet Cleaners KT6 Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners KT6 provides professional carpet and related cleaning services to residential and commercial clients. By placing a booking, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions and that they form a binding agreement between you and Carpet Cleaners KT6.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

Company means Carpet Cleaners KT6, the cleaning services provider.

Client means any individual, business or organisation requesting or receiving services from the Company.

Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.

Services means carpet cleaning and any related or additional cleaning services agreed between the Client and the Company.

Booking means a confirmed appointment for Services made by the Client and accepted by the Company.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and associated services within its designated service area. The precise description of the Services to be carried out will be agreed at the time of Booking and may include, but is not limited to, carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning and associated tasks as discussed with the Client.

The Company will use reasonable skill and care in delivering the Services and will perform them in accordance with industry standards for similar services in the United Kingdom.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Client through the Companys accepted booking methods as indicated on its materials or communications. The Client must provide accurate and complete details, including the Premises address, type and size of areas to be cleaned, preferred date and time, and any special access requirements.

3.2 All Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until expressly accepted by the Company. The Company reserves the right to decline a Booking where it cannot reasonably accommodate the request or where it considers the Premises unsuitable or unsafe.

3.3 The Company may request additional information or photographs of the Premises to enable an accurate assessment of the required work. Any quote provided based on incomplete or inaccurate information may be subject to adjustment on the day of service.

3.4 The Client is responsible for ensuring that a person over 18 years of age is available at the Premises at the agreed time to grant access and to discuss any specific requirements with the attending operative.

4. Estimates and Quotes

4.1 Any estimate or quote given by the Company, whether verbally or in writing, is based on the information supplied by the Client and on average conditions for similar work. It is not a fixed price guarantee where the actual condition at the Premises materially differs from the information provided.

4.2 The Company reserves the right to revise the quote on arrival at the Premises if additional work, heavily soiled areas, larger than stated areas, difficult access or other unforeseen circumstances are identified. In such cases, the Company will inform the Client of the revised price before commencing work.

4.3 All estimates and quotes are valid for a limited time period as specified by the Company or, if not specified, for 30 days from the date given.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 The Client must ensure that the Premises are accessible at the agreed time and that any obstacles or items that may affect safe and efficient cleaning are removed or made safe.

5.2 The Client shall provide access to electricity, running water, adequate lighting and, where necessary, parking or entry permissions for the Companys operatives and equipment.

5.3 The Client is responsible for securing or removing any fragile, valuable or sentimental items from the areas to be cleaned. The Company will not be liable for damage to items left in the cleaning area that reasonably should have been removed or protected by the Client.

5.4 The Client must inform the Company of any known hazards at the Premises, including loose flooring, faulty electrical sockets, alarm systems, pets, or any previous issues with carpets, rugs or upholstery such as colour instability, shrinkage tendency or existing damage.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the Services at the Premises. For certain bookings, the Company may require a deposit or full payment in advance, which will be communicated at the time of Booking.

6.2 Accepted payment methods will be those specified by the Company through its communications or booking system. The Client must ensure that a valid payment method is available and that payment can be taken on the day the Services are provided.

6.3 Where the Client is a business or organisation with approved account terms, payment is due within the timeframe agreed in writing with the Company. The Company reserves the right to apply interest and administrative charges on overdue balances in accordance with applicable UK law.

6.4 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. Where applicable, taxes and other statutory charges will be clearly set out in the total price.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

7.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a Booking by giving the Company reasonable notice. Unless otherwise stated, a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the agreed appointment time is required to avoid a cancellation charge.

7.2 If the Client cancels or reschedules with less than 24 hours notice, or if the Companys operatives are unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time through no fault of the Company, the Company may charge a cancellation fee up to the full value of the Booking to cover lost time and costs.

7.3 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to staff illness, equipment failure, extreme weather, safety concerns or access issues. In such cases, the Company will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Client as soon as practicable and to offer an alternative appointment.

7.4 Where a deposit has been paid and the Client cancels in line with the required notice period, the Company may at its discretion refund the deposit or apply it to a future Booking.

8. Access and Parking

8.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring that suitable access and any necessary parking arrangements are in place for the date and time of the Booking. This includes, where relevant, visitor permits, entry codes or concierge notifications.

8.2 Where parking charges are incurred directly as a result of providing the Services at the Premises, these may be added to the final invoice and are payable by the Client.

9. Health, Safety and Conduct

9.1 The Company operates in compliance with applicable health and safety legislation. The Client agrees not to request any tasks that may put the operatives health or safety at risk.

9.2 The Client and any persons present at the Premises shall treat the Companys operatives with respect and shall not subject them to any abusive, discriminatory or threatening behaviour. The Company reserves the right to withdraw its operatives from the Premises and to terminate the Booking if such behaviour occurs, and the full Booking fee may still be charged.

10. Service Quality and Limitations

10.1 The Company will use appropriate cleaning methods and products suitable for the type of carpet, rug or upholstery, based on information provided by the Client and on the operatives professional assessment.

10.2 While every reasonable effort will be made to clean stains and soiling, the Company does not guarantee complete removal of all stains, odours or marks. Stain removal success depends on factors such as age, type of stain, prior treatments and material composition.

10.3 Certain materials may be prone to shrinkage, colour run, pile distortion or other reactions when cleaned. The Client is responsible for informing the Company of any known sensitivities. The Company will use reasonable skill and care but cannot be held liable for inherent defects or reactions that are not reasonably foreseeable.

10.4 After cleaning, carpets and upholstery may remain damp for a period of time. The Client must ensure adequate ventilation and take care when walking on damp surfaces to avoid slips, re-soiling or damage.

11. Complaints and Rectification

11.1 If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the Services, providing clear details of the concerns.

11.2 The Company will investigate any complaint made in good faith and, where appropriate, may arrange to inspect the Premises and, at its discretion, offer a re-clean of the affected area or another reasonable remedy.

11.3 The Companys obligation to rectify issues is conditional upon the Client providing access to the Premises within a reasonable timeframe and not allowing any other contractor or person to attempt remedial work prior to the Companys inspection.

12. Liability

12.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

12.2 Subject to the above, the Companys total aggregate liability to the Client arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid or payable by the Client for the specific Booking giving rise to the claim.

12.3 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of enjoyment, arising from or in connection with the Services.

12.4 The Company shall not be responsible for any pre-existing damage, wear and tear, deterioration or defects in carpets, rugs, upholstery or other items at the Premises, nor for any damage resulting from such pre-existing conditions.

12.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring that any alarm systems are deactivated or put into a mode that allows the Companys operatives to carry out their duties. The Company will not be responsible for costs or losses arising from alarm activations unless caused by the Companys negligence.

13. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

13.1 The Company will handle and dispose of any waste generated in the course of providing the Services in accordance with relevant environmental and waste management regulations applicable in the United Kingdom.

13.2 The Client is responsible for the disposal of any general household or commercial waste that is not directly generated by the Companys cleaning process. The Company does not operate as a general waste removal contractor unless explicitly agreed in writing.

13.3 Where the Services involve the extraction of soiled water or similar waste, the Company will manage such waste in line with applicable legal requirements and industry practice. The Client must allow reasonable access to suitable drainage points where required.

13.4 The Company endeavours to use cleaning products and methods that are efficient and environmentally considerate where feasible, but cannot guarantee that all products used will be free from chemicals or allergens. Clients with specific environmental or health requirements must inform the Company at the time of Booking.

14. Insurance

14.1 The Company holds appropriate insurance cover for its activities, including public liability insurance, in accordance with industry practice.

14.2 Details of insurance cover may be made available to the Client upon reasonable request. Any claim by the Client that may give rise to an insurance claim must be notified to the Company without delay and supported by relevant evidence.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

15.1 The Company collects and processes personal data provided by the Client for the purpose of managing Bookings, delivering the Services and handling payments and communication.

15.2 The Company will process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and will take reasonable steps to keep such data secure.

15.3 The Client has the right to request access to personal data held by the Company and to request correction of any inaccuracies, subject to legal exceptions.

16. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

16.1 The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, industry practice or its business operations.

16.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of the Clients Booking will apply to that Booking, unless a change is required by law or regulation, in which case the updated terms may apply.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with the provision of the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

18. General Provisions

18.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable.

18.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

18.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or agreements.

By proceeding with a Booking, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
